the heart beats in time
the hearts of time turn time and turn
turn back the clocks if time turns to the heart

if you turn back the clocks
you can see the hearts and lives hovering overhead
if you turn the daisy chain sideways and examine the view
from a different angel and set your vision askew

you will see that we are masters of our small blue bomb
ready to explode with a plan for light
that left us unprepared for the inevitable
self-destruct mechanism inside us all

ahh another Dickensian melodramatic love story unfolds for discontented eyes
with all the atrocious and angelic encumbrances
arrogance,
  betrayal,
    corruption,
      deceit,
        exaltation,
          innocence,

all to be reformed in time before the next teardrop falls
