[columbus conquered me] date: 06/11/1998
primitive space travel
star bound heroes of glory
taken aback by the sheer sound
of space beyond
darkness to light
upon a blanket of infinite eyes
son of suns
dust to dusky dawn
we are golden in his light
sparkle to sparkle
the flame that starts
the fire inside
that ignites the ember
that burns for adventure
to extinguish its passion
whether to conquer : weather to conquer
expeditions to explore
travels to traverse or to trek
adventures of victories' voyages
all in the name of its' finder
glory to god
glory to he who discovers new lands, people, customs, history, religions, riches, desires, dreams, wild wanton abandonment
of his life's wearied worried ways
smoke lingers and clouds his judgment
smoke that alerts his consciousness
for a moment he is own god
master of masters
ship on the shore of his brave new world
his to... create...,
his to... manipulate...,
his to... destroy!
back to the egg
back to the soft womb of new home
to travel onward into the star-light world
of known existences and beyond - now
psycho-navigation (telepathy version)
comet crushers cruise forward
the mind is a powerful thing to behold
the bittersweet sorrow of never being able to go far enough,
farther than before,
to the farthest point inside or out of body and mind
explosion! and his head is finally on right
head - on hard, and the stars will obey
galaxy master on his way
cruise ship cruiser gliding on this plane
glistening hot cold metal
and a medal with his name
transcribed and written for a minute eternity
he was here; he was the one
he discovered
what we all wished to see...
